Emergency Parking Ban Jan. 24 – 26, 2026
The Village of EAST CANTON has issued a snow parking ban from Saturday, January 24th, at 7 p.m. until Monday, January 26th, at 5 p.m. All East Canton residents are reminded of the Village’s snow emergency parking ban, which becomes effective whenever a snow accumulation of three inches or more is expected. The winter storm is expected to result in up to 10” of snow. Residents are urged to take proactive action by relocating vehicles typically parked on the street to alternative locations to expedite village crews’ efforts to clear streets of snow. The Village Road Department has been instructed to notify the East Canton Police Department of any non-compliance. Violators will be subject to ticketing and/or towing. We understand the inconvenience this causes to those relying on on-street parking and appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation during these events, where the top priority is the safety of the Village of East Canton’s residents. Village personnel will be out plowing around the clock once the event starts. Please note that salt will not be used until the end of the event, as the intensity of the snowfall will make the salt ineffective and plowed under each time personnel plow. Be safe, everyone!
