PUBLIC NOTICE: Special Council Work Session

The Village of East Canton will hold a Special Work Session on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, to discuss filling in the vacant Village Council seat.

The meeting will begin with a roll call, followed by entering into an executive session pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 121.22(G) 1, for the purpose of interviewing separately each eligible applicants for the vacant position.

During the executive session, the mayor and members of Village Council will interview community members who have applied for the position and meet the statutory requirements to serve on Council.

The purpose of this work session is to allow the Mayor and Council members to meet with qualified applicants and discuss their interest in serving the Village of East Canton.

The executive sessions are not open to the general public.

Please Note: If any decision is made regarding filling the vacant seat during Wednesday meeting, it will occur after council exits executive session at the end of the work session.
